     William G. “Bill” Pull, 72, St. Cloud, MN died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at his home.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral, St. Cloud, MN. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. A prayer service and time of sharing will start at 4:30 PM Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment with full military honors will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
     Bill was born July 8, 1941 in St. Cloud, MN to Frank J. and Florence H. (Clayton) Pull. He grew up and was educated in St. Cloud. Bill served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He married Nancy L. Cole on January 30, 1965 in South St. Paul, MN. She later died. On December 15, 1979 Bill was united in marriage to Mary T. (Dombovy) Lewis in Seville, OH. Bill was a sales manager for Morton Salt Company in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio and the Southeastern United States for 32 years, retiring on December 31, 1999. He also worked for Economics Laboratory in Minnesota and Wisconsin and for St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Companies.
     He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, St. Cloud. Bill belonged to American Legion Posts, #435 in Richfield, MN, #201 in Alpharetta, GA and #428 in Waite Park, MN. He was a member of the American Legion for over 43 years. Bill was a former member of Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alpharetta, GA.
     Bill liked working with wood, photography, genealogy, Bible studies and traveling. His travels included Europe and the Caribbean as well as traveling all over the United States and Canada. Bill particularly liked Bible study, music, playing cards and Scrabble. Most importantly, Bill enjoyed times with friends and family. Bill’s wry sense of humor, intelligence and loving nature will be missed by many people.
     Survivors include his wife, Mary Pull of St. Cloud, MN; children, Dennis (Janet) Lewis of Tempe, AZ; Mary Hensel of Cumming, GA; Rochelle (Christian) DeBaun of Charlottesville, VA, Michelle Lewis of Raleigh, NC; and Kirsten (Jeff) Wall of Sandy Springs, GA; three grandchildren, Jason Hensel, Shandra Lewis, and Andrew Hamm; sisters, Gloria (Lawrence) Thome of St. Cloud, MN; Patricia Parsons of St. Cloud, MN; Mary Ann Woods of St. Cloud, MN; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Pull of Sauk Rapids, MN; Arlene Pull of St. Cloud, MN; Helen Sutton of Hi-Nella, NJ; Susan (Keith) Whitelam of Sheffield, England; Anne (Peter) Hackert of Victoria, MN; Jeanne Haugen of Tennessee; Jackie Van de Plasch of Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Thomas J. Hunter of Arizona; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother, Thomas C. Pull, and two brothers, Roger F. and Thomas A. Pull, sister, Marlene Hockeborn, and brothers-in-law, Dennis J. Woods, William J. “Bill” Parsons and Harl Hockeborn.
     Memorials are preferred to Cathedral High School, St. Cloud, MN.
