    NANCY P. DAVIS, 82
    Sartell, Minnesota
    February 27, 1931 ~ February 22, 2014

Nancy P. Davis, 82, Sartell, MN died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Legends of Heritage Place, Sartell, MN.
Funeral services are pending. Funeral arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Nancy was born February 27, 1931 in Cleveland, OH to Lawrence and Catherine (Mathews) Palmer. She graduated from Gristmill High School in Shaker Heights in 1949 and participated in French Club, badminton, baseball, basketball, hockey, volley ball and travel club. She was also class treasurer. Nancy graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1953 with a degree in Elementary Education.
Nancy married James E. Davis on August 22, 1955 in Sandhoffen, West Germany. She lived in Cleveland, Wayzata, Fargo, Moorhead and Sartell. She did not pursue her career, deciding to stay home and raise her two boys. Nancy was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Fargo, ND and had many good friends in the Women’s Fellowship.
Nancy was known for her clever wit, positive attitude, and love of music and poetry. She enjoyed the New York Times crossword puzzles, Scrabble, card games, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children, Mark Davis of Moorhead, MN, and Kent (Shelly) Davis of Sartell, MN; grandchildren, Benjamin and Matthew; sister, Dorothy Gerbitz of Willoughby, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James on March 5, 2013, sisters, Sally Folgate and Barbara Robinson, and brother-in-law, William Robinson.
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive God to be, and whatever labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.
