     Arthur R. Stambaugh, age 89, Waite Park, MN died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
     Funeral services will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, Sartell, MN. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday. A Masonic Prayer Service will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a time of sharing remembrances of Art. Graveside service will be Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Art was born September 13, 1924 in Morris, MN to Wilbert and Florence (Behl) Stambaugh. He married Shirley M. Welfare on June 21, 1949 in Morris, MN. Art was a clerk for Burlington Northern Railroad for 39 years, retiring on December 30, 1985. He was a member of North Star Lodge #23, St. Cloud Chapter No. 10 Royal Arch, Nazarene Commandery #24, Osman Temple, St. Cloud Shrine Club, St. Cloud Shrine Go Karts, Pantowners and 1st United Methodist Church. Art also volunteered with RSVP and Whitney Senior Center.
     Art enjoyed family gatherings, collecting cars, and Shrine service. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was loved by all who knew him for his gentle ways and accepting attitude.
     Survivors include sons, Richard (Brigitte) Stambaugh of Sartell, MN; Patrick (MaryLou) Stambaugh of Lake City, MN; James Stambaugh of St. Cloud, MN; four granddaughters, Morgan (Mike) Miller, Lindsay Stambaugh, Emma Stambaugh, Erica Stambaugh; three Brothers, Bill Stambaugh of Spearfish, SD; Roger Stambaugh of Bellingham, WA; David Stambaugh of Cle Elum, WA; five sisters, Mildred Jarski of St. Louis Park, MN; Dorothy James of Victoria, MN; Clara Mae Sider of Chanhassen, MN; Elva Tussey of Chanhassen, MN; Ruth Halpert of Surprise, AZ.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley on May 2, 1998; one infant son, Robert Stambaugh; two sisters, Marian Posthumus and Ann Parr; three Brothers, his twin Archie Stambaugh, Wilbert Stambaugh, Maurice Stambaugh and one infant brother.
     Memorials are preferred to 1st United Methodist Church or Shrine Hospital.
