     Louis Herman Stahn M.D., age 93, Sartell, MN died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Talahi Care Center, St. Cloud, MN.
     Private family services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Louis was born August 29, 1921 in Springfield, MN to Edward C. and Frieda (Pfeil) Stahn. He lived on a farm with his family and graduated from Springfield High School, University of Minnesota obtaining a BS degree in pre-medicine and education. Louis taught general science courses in Northfield, MN. He completed Medical School at the U of M and did his internship at Saint Mary's Hospital, Spokane, Washington. Louis returned to U of M for specialty training in internal medicine and neuropsychiatry. He married Cora Eleanor Hanson on March 14, 1945 at Grace Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Fergus Falls in 1955 where Louis worked at the Fergus Falls Medical Center until his children entered college. They moved to St. Cloud in 1967 where he was Chief of Medicine and Geriatrics at the St. Cloud VA Hospital. He also had a private medical practice. Louis was board certified in Advanced Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Active as a public speaker and Humorist, he published a comic book and a musical record. He was a medical specialist in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. He enjoyed hunting trips to Canada, Mexico, Alaska and the lower states. Louis was a member of American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, American Medical Association and Minnesota State and County Medical Association and Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN.
     He is survived by his wife, Cora E. Stahn of Sartell, MN; children, Lyndell C. Stahn of Ennis, MT; Coralyn “Corky” L. Stahn of Marana, AZ; three grandchildren; sisters, Fern Anderson of Bellville, OH; Faye Wohlrabe of Morris, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ruggles M. Stahn, M.D., two brothers, Arthur Stahn and Kermit K. Stahn and five sisters, Nina Trygstad, Elenora Stahn, Malinda Meyer, Orpha Bennington and Elva Meyer.
