     Richard Glenn May, age 60, St. Cloud, MN, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     A Time of Remembrance will be held Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 PM at the St. Augusta American Legion, St. Augusta, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Richard was born October 13, 1954 in St. Cloud, MN to John C. and Mary E, (Simmons) May. He attended Campus Lab School and graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School in 1973. Richard was proud to serve his country as a United States Marine. He was employed by the City of St. Cloud as a Tree Trimmer for the Park Department for 26 years and the Water Department for 4 years, retiring in August 2014. Richard attended Joy Christian Center and was a member of the St. Augusta American Legion Post #621.
     Dick will be remembered for his good hearted banter, cartoons he drew to brighten someone's day, and for standing behind friends through thick and thin.
     Survivors include brothers and sisters, Janice Saatzer of Sauk Rapids, MN; John (Mary) May of Bemidji, MN; James May of St. Cloud, MN; Carol (Jim) Ackerson of Verndale, MN; Jeanne May of St. Cloud, MN; and Jerry (Patty) May of Waconia, MN.
     He also leaves behind his dear friend Peggy McStott-Voigt and her family, who nursed him back to health after his first heart attack in 2007. Thank you Peggy, Casondra, Conrad and Russ as well as Loni and Tim. As Richard said “You are like family”.
     Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, David Peter May of Waconia, MN.
