     Elaine Gail Davis, age 81, St. Cloud, MN, died peacefully Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN.
     Funeral services will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Community Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
     Elaine was born February 12, 1934 in St. Cloud, MN to Paul and Gail Scheel. She graduated from Technical High School, Northwestern School of Nursing and the University of Minnesota. Elaine worked at the St. Cloud Veterans Administration Medical Center for over 30 years. In her retirement enjoyed working at Bonnie’s Spinning Wheel.
     Elaine was very close to her family and was an integral part of Scott, Marjo, Paul and Katie's life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson and granddaughter, attending their events and babysitting the family's dogs.
     Elaine was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1963 playing the organ for over 40 years, being involved in women's Bible studies, women's discipleship, and music. She also spoke to women's groups throughout the Midwest on the unconditional love and grace of God. She was also the pianist for the counselors quartet a male gospel quartet that traveled throughout the state. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed her time and friends at the knitting shop.
     She will be remembered most as a loving mother and grandmother who also loved and mentored many others in the love of God.
     She is survived by her son Scott, daughter in law Marjo, grandson Paul and his wife Judith, and granddaughter Katie.
     She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Irvin Scheel.
     The family is very appreciative of all the faithful love and support shown Elaine over the last four years of hospice.
