     January 13, 1922 - April 27, 2015
    
     Margaret Oranda Cooper, age 93, Sartell, MN died Monday, April 27, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     A memorial service will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Margaret was born to Charles and Alma (Asper) Kraft on January 13, 1922 at Elkton, MN. She graduated from Elkton High School, Elkton, MN in 1938. Margaret married Wayne H. Cooper on October 27, 1940 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elkton, MN. After their marriage they moved to Waterloo, IA until 1943. They then moved to Dexter, MN for 11 years and then Austin, MN, where Margaret clerked at Younkers Department Store. She and Wayne were members of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
     Upon retirement in 1978, Margaret and Wayne moved to St. Cloud, MN where they joined Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Margaret became a member of Ruth Circle and helped tie quilts for the needy. She was also talented in ceramics and needlework, and a few of her many needlework projects are on display in the narthex of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. During their retirement Margaret and Wayne joined several old-time dance groups, and also traveled throughout the United States, Europe and Hawaii.
     Survivors include Margaret’s daughter, Marlene M. Hanson of St. Cloud, MN; two granddaughters, Cynthia R. (Martin E.) Bogart of Rogers, MN; Wendy K. (Mark D.) Neu of Rogers, MN; five great-grandchildren, Ryan (Christina) Bogart of Duluth, MN; Jennifer Bogart of Rogers, MN; Kyle Bogart of Fargo, ND; Mitchell Neu of Rogers, MN; and Brittany Neu of Rogers, MN; two great-great-grandchildren, Brock and Virginia Bogart of Duluth, MN; and brother, Vernon (Nyla) Kraft of Pipestone, MN.
     Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne H. Cooper, son-in-law, Raymond M. Hanson, sister, Bernice I. Francis and brother, Raymond W. Kraft.
     Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
