     Kenneth J. Kornovich, age 90, of Sauk Rapids passed away at the Good Shepherd Senior Community on Thursday, August 6, 2015
     Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 on Sunday at the Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud and one hour prior to mass on Monday at church. Burial will be at the Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud. Arrangements with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
     Ken was born on November 23, 1924 in Gilman to Joseph and Grace (Wruck) Kornovich. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1946. Ken was married to Rose Marie Friske on August 12, 1952 at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. He worked in home construction his entire life. Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with friends, especially over a cup of coffee at the Ace Bar & Grill. He was a faithful volunteer at the Good Shepherd Senior Community for over 15 years.
     Ken is survived by his sons, Ronald (Audrey) Kornovich of St. Cloud and Lonnie (Karen) Kornovich of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Gina (Matthew) Koschielski, Ryan Kornovich, Jennifer (John) Achman and Melissa (Nathan) Koubsky; step-granddaughter Jodie (Ralph) Cinfo; six great-grandchildren with a seventh to arrive in October; two step great-grandchildren and brother, Willard (Ellen) Kornovich of Foreston.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose on March 25, 1983; siblings, Jerome Kornovich, Ida Kraus and Richard Kornovich.
     The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Senior Community for the wonderful care that they provided Ken during his time there.
