Dennis Christopher Draughn, Sr., age 52, St. Cloud, MN died Friday, October 9, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Dennis was born November 15, 1962 in Jersey City, NJ to Mitchell and Juanita (Slocum) Draughn. He had been employed as a supervisor at Washington Inventory Services, manager at K-Mart, an auto parts store and McDonalds. Dennis became disabled after a car accident in 2002.
Dennis had a good and generous heart. He was always willing to loan or give money to family and friends in need. He loved baseball and played in his youth. Dennis also coached Little League. He was a great fan of the New York Yankees. He was grateful for his sobriety and lived a life of contentment and joy in recent years.
Survivors include his wife, Maryann; children, Felicia, Dennis C. Jr., Durell, Aaron, Clint C., Isaiah, Dylan, Moses and Jacob; siblings, Martha, Voncile, Doris, Brenda, Alvin, Richard, Deon and Denise; and five grandchildren, Kaniah, Kelise, Nia, Layla and Aaryn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brothers, Mitchell, Diane, Michael, Charles, Janice and Mary.
Gratitude is extended to the St. Cloud Hospital Staff, Heartland Hospice and the guys at the Dream Center, whom he loved and they returned it by their prayers and support during his illness. |
