Gwendolyn Ann Guy, 61, St. Cloud, MN, passed away November 23, 2015 at 12:22 PM at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
A memorial service will be Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Russell Arms Apartments Community Room, 315 Division St., Sauk Rapids, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will be in Klein Cemetery, Tomball, TX. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Gwendolyn was born May 11, 1954 in Alexandria, VA to Harold and Alice Sickles. She fell in love and married Treon Splettstoesser in 1965 and had their first daughter Sharlene Splettstoesser. Even though they divorced later in life, they remained close. She was known as Penny, which also represents her hair. Later in life she became everyone's “Nana”. Gwendolyn was known for the unconditional love she gave to everyone that she came in contact with. She loved cooking for her family and had various jobs in the community as a chef. Gwendolyn loved gardening, stargazing and spending time with the ones she loved.
The ones who will carry on her legacy are her first daughter, Sharlene Splettstoesser of St. Cloud, MN; daughters, Treonna Stratton of St. Cloud, MN and Anna (Jason Lehmeier) Stratton of St. Cloud MN; granddaughters, Chelsea (Philip Taylor Luzier) Splettstoesser, who she raised as her own; and Haley Lehmeier; grandson, Kaiden James Lehmeier; two great grandchildren, Philip Carsen Luzier and Lincoln Russell Luzier; brother, Tinker of Texas; two sisters, Wanda McGraw of Texas and Laura of Texas; brother for life, Bill Biendara of Sauk Rapids, MN; goddaughter, Hailey Biendara of Sauk Rapids MN; nieces, Michelle, Teresa of Texas and nephews, Jimmy and Russell.
She was met at the gates of heaven by her mother, father, best friend Earl and many other loved ones. |
