     Arno “Arnie” Herbert Alfred Kazeck, age 82, Sauk Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
     Funeral services will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sauk Rapids, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
     Arnie was born April 6, 1933 in Parker Township, Morrison County, MN to Alfred and Louise (Heck) Kazeck. He worked as a farm hand most of his life. Arnie was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church. He served with distinction as a volunteer through Catholic Charities Foster Grandparent Program from October 19, 1996 to August 12, 2013. For many years “Grandpa Arnie” volunteered at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota through Catholic Charities Foster Grandparent Program. Arnie was the loving mentor and “grandpa” that so many young people needed, in order to grow up safe and strong. He also volunteered at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. In 2002 the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance named Arnie Volunteer Auxilian of the Year and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging presented Arnie with it s 2002 Distinguished Service Award. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, baking and would make turkey dinner at Good Shepherd including pies.
     Survivors include sons, Kevin Kazeck of Sauk Rapids, MN; Terry (Lisa Keller) Kazeck of Sauk Rapids, MN; daughters, Debra Kazeck of Sauk Rapids, MN; and Bonnie (Glen) Burg of Freeport, MN; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Elvir, Eldor and Rueben Kazeck, and two sisters, Rose Borck and Wilma Stockman.
     In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church.
     Arnie will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
