Boniface “Boni” Joseph Hallermann, age 92, St. Cloud, MN, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Parish prayers will be at 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Boniface was born August 9, 1923 in Melrose, MN to Joseph and Elizabeth (Herzog) Hallermann. He served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. Boniface married Marcella “Sally” A. Stangler on May 17, 1950 in Albany, MN. He was employed by Great Northern Railroad/Burlington Northern Railroad retiring on August 15, 1983. Boniface was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and National Association of Retired and Veterans Railway Employees Unit #107.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella “Sally” Hallermann of St. Cloud, MN; sons and daughters, Allan Hallermann of St. Cloud, MN; Arnold (Barb) Hallermann of Spring Creek, NV; David (Lisa) Hallermann of Rice, MN; Mary (Dr. William) Roering of Okemos, MI; Shirley (Mike) Schlangen of St. Cloud, MN; Cindy Statz of Sauk Rapids, MN; Angie (Mark) Peschl of Grey Eagle, MN; brothers, Joseph (Lois) Hallermann of Wadena, MN; Jerry (Kathy) Hallermann of Andover, MN; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Henry, Ervin, Wilfred, Alfred, Donald and Virgil Hallermann, and sister, Marion Z. Hallermann.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason, Travis and Ryan Schlangen, Tony Hallermann, Alex, Ben and Cass Statz, and John Hallermann. |
