Bill married Sharon (Sherri) Ruth Allen on June 25, 1966 and celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with friends and family on June 25, 2016.
Bill attended St. Cloud Public Schools and St. Cloud State University and majored in Music and Industrial Arts.
Bill was a distinguished tenor soloist and won the High Tenor category for men between 16-20 at the MMTA State Solo Contest in 1961. He was also part of the All-State choir. Bill continued his passion for music and sang with The Travelers Gospel Quartet, with Sherri accompanying at the piano, for 47 years.
Bill was an entrepreneur who founded, operated and sold 2 businesses, A Shell service station and a Little Caesar's Pizza. He worked for Good Year Tire, Anderson Trucking Service and finished his career at Miller Auto Plaza, retiring in 2010.

Bill served as an election judge for local and general elections. Bill also enjoyed directing choir for over 22 years at 2 area churches and serving on various Church Boards and Committees.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon (Allen) Kimball and sister, Barbara Leone Sjolander Stringer. He was the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews and their families, and is survived by his sister-in-law, Lois Christopherson and son-in-law, Gordy Viere.
Bill is survived by Diane Viere and Dixie Sanborn who gratefully consider Bill, the dad of their heart, because of the significant impact and influence he and Sherri had on their lives. Bill was also loved by and known as “Grandpa Bill” to four surviving grandchildren. He is also survived by a little white honorary mention, Crisco, a 4-pound Maltese.
He was preceded in death by infant sister, Ruth Ann and parents, William F. Kimball, Sr. and Hazel (Busse) Kimball.
