Ione Caroline Agnew, age 94, Clearwater, MN died Friday, September 16, 2016 at Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Clearwater United Methodist Church, Clearwater, MN. Rev. Ken Felska will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Clearwater United Methodist Church, Clearwater, Mn and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Order of Eastern Star prayer service at 6:30 PM Tuesday. Burial will be in Acacia Cemetery, Clearwater, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Ione was born January 5, 1922 in Becker, MN to Roy and Ella (Mitchell) Rush. She married Harold R. Agnew on May 21, 1949 in Lindstrom, MN. Ione was employed as a bookkeeper for Tri County Lumber and Conlon Construction. She was a member of Clearwater United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Ione enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was also very active in the Clearwater community.
Survivors include sons and daughters, David Agnew of Clearwater, MN; Robert Agnew of Clearwater, MN; Scott (Marge) Agnew of Onamia, MN; Gail Wolf of Brookville, FL; Carole (Pat) Allard of Waite Park, MN; sister, Shirley Johnson of Forest Lake, MN; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.,
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Agnew on July 31, 2001, daughter, Joyce Jewett, infant great grandson, Jeffrey Agnew, brother, Clifford Rush and sisters, Murn Fountain and Lois Fountain. |
