    Faye L. Childers, age 85, St. Cloud, MN died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
    
    Funeral services will be Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be at a later date in Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
    
    Faye was born September 9, 1931 in Willmar, MN to William and Ida (Rykken) Latterell. She was married to Harlan D. Childers on July 6, 1951 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar, MN and last July marked their 65th wedding anniversary. Faye was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, MN for 58 years and was active in the church circle, bible study, funeral committee and Syttende Mai. She taught Sunday school, led campfire troops, volunteered for Reach to Recovery for 20 years and was a P.E.O. member.
    
    Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was an excellent cook and a great hostess. Faye was a friendly and positive person who made friends wherever she went. Some of her hobbies were traveling, knitting, bridge and she loved her books! Faye was a 43 year breast cancer survivor who also faced many different health challenges. Her Christian faith gave her the strength and courage to face each new day with hope. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
    Survivors include her husband, Harlan D. Childers of the Waterford of Sartell, MN; son, Dan (Sue) Childers of Scottsdale, AZ; daughters, Deb (Gary) Morgal of Spirit Lake, IA, Marsha (Rob) Hamer of Plymouth, MN, Mary Beth (Tom) Deppa of Woodbury, MN; sister-in-law, Eileen Latterell of Jordan, MN; grandchildren, Angie, Stephanie, Erin, Chris, Andrea, Shannon, Jillian, Megan and Grace; great grandchildren, Miles, Sebastian, Hudson and Ella Grace.
    
    She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Richard Latterell and Gerald Latterell.
    
    Memorials are preferred.
