Nancy June Oswald, age 86, St. Cloud, MN, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Good Shepherd Memory Cottages, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Memorial services for Nancy J. Oswald will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Nancy was born June 8, 1934 in St. Cloud, MN to Frank and Thelma R. (Wire) Ahrens. She was baptized on April 19, 1946 at the First Presbyterian Church in Howard Lake, MN. On February 24, 1953 Nancy was united in marriage to Donald C. Oswald at St John’s Lutheran Church, Buffalo, MN. She was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Buffalo, MN on Ascension Day 1953. Nancy was employed as a secretary for Metro Building Systems of Brooklyn Park. She served her Lord with gladness as a church secretary, organist, Sunday School teacher, and LWML member. Nancy loved music especially piano and organ.
Survivors include her husband, Don Oswald of St. Cloud, MN; son, David (Barbara) Oswald of Cottage Grove, WI; daughter, Dawn (Jack) Berner of Brooklyn Park, MN; brother, Roger Ahrens of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Ruth (Roman) Voit of St. Cloud, MN; four grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Alyssa and Brooke; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Good Shepherd Memory Cottages and Moments Hospice for giving Nancy such great care.
