    James “Jim” P. McAlister, 70
    Waite Park, MN
    August 8, 1951 – August 26, 2021

James “Jim” Patrick McAlister, age 70, Waite Park, MN, died Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his home.
Funeral services will be Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Benson Funeral Home Chapel, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Jim was born August 8, 1951 in Milaca, MN to Orval J. and Lucille M. (Stewart) McAlister. He received a degree from St. Cloud Technical College in the electrical program. Jim was employed by Schaak and Team Electronics, and EdTech/Computers of St. Cloud. He was always on the cutting edge of electronics and computer technology. In 1999 Jim started his own business, Tell-A-Vision Productions, creating video legacies for businesses, musicians and families throughout Central Minnesota. This was truly his passion.
Jim had a passion and zest for life itself that most people only dream about having, and his goal was to inspire as many people as he could during his time on Earth. He lived life to the fullest and did what he loved every single day. You often would hear him saying “always remember to be your best!” And, “the more you give the more you live!” He truly loved us all and cherished every moment with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Dad, your spunk, spirit and creative soul will be missed, but we know you will be with us and watching over us each and every day!
Survivors include his daughter Sarah (Scott) Diebold, grandchildren Cody and Taylor Diebold of Fontana, CA and Sarah’s mother Joan McAlister of St. Cloud; daughter Molly (Nico Klein) McAlister of Sartell and her mother Debra McAlister of St. Cloud; stepsons, Jeremy (Paula) Heydman and Eric (Sunny) Heydman and five step grandchildren: Colin, Ryan, Lauren, Kendall, and Jaxxon; brother David (Andrea) McAlister and a niece and nephew of Canton, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
